Project Linus

I love the whole concept of security blankets—that soft piece of fabric that represents home, love, and family. That's probably why I love the concept of Project Linus so much.

Project Linus is an incredible charity that provides handmade security blankets to children who are ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. With chapters nationwide, anybody can participate in donating homemade blankets, quilts, comforters, and afghans of virtually any size to this wonderful cause. You can even donate supplies or your own time. With the holidays coming up, it's a wonderful charity to consider for service projects.

I'm also proud to carry an all-new line of Project Linus fabrics by Quilting Treasures, featuring Peanuts characters. Right now I've got eight different patterns in stock (shown above), and here's the cool thing—a portion of all proceeds goes to support Project Linus. Kind of makes me feel warm and fuzzy thinking about it.

Fabric patterns, clockwise from upper left:

I love it when our hobbies can turn into something so much more, don't you?
