4my3boyz Iron-on Appliques

Today's idea is perfect for your upcoming Fourth of July festivities. You could create coordinating looks for the whole family, or bring the supplies to your party and let people create their own designs. One fat quarter could be used for several different t-shirt designs. I created a flag, but you could make any shape or design. Our feature fabric today is Old Glory Packed Flags on Denim from 4my3boyz Fabrics. (Lots in stock, by the way!) Let's get started...

50 Things to Do With a Fat Quarter: #3 Beach Towel Pouch & Pocket

11. June 2013 10:38 by tbev | 0 Comments

4my3boyz Beach Towel Pouch & Pocket

Today's project came to me when I was sending my son to the pool with an armload of supplies: towel, shirt, sunscreen, sunglasses and wallet. As he walked out the door, I wondered how many of the items would actually make it back. If only the towel could hold everything he needed, I thought. And there you have it, an idea was born! The featured fabric today is Run Run Robot! Robots and Spaceships on Black from the shop at 4my3boyz Fabrics. (Because I was using an oversized beach towel, I used two fat quarters.) This is a simple sewing project that will make pool time stress-free!

Here's what you'll need:

1 beach towel
1-2 fat quarters, depending on size of towel
velcro adhesive
